Biography (Honeymead) -- Written by Trish

Written by Trish

Honeymead is a half-elf woman who makes her living as a traveling bard. She is rather young, but has a strong sense of independence. She is the sole daughter of a high-society elf and a traveling human. Her father disappeared while she was quite young, and so she spent her lonely childhood days within the city of Aluminora, surrounded by elves who saw her as beneath them. Feeling alienated by those around her, Honeymead set out to make something of herself.

Her lyre was a gift from a young male elf in her village -- she considers him her first love, though the gift was merely given out of pity for her loneliness. However, he disappeared from her hometown and she was left truly alone. Treasuring this gift from her first love, she learned as an apprentice to be proficient in her art. Leaving behind the demanding and judgmental elven society and her mother, Honeymead, at the tender age of 15, was on her own.

Though she was always skilled with bardic abilities, Honeymead struggled with combat at first. A lone rogue swept in when she was overwhelmed in battle. He one-up'd her and chastised her for being foolish. Out of shame and determination, she became well-practiced with her crossbow and shortsword. However, she is still by no means a fighter. If she can avoid a fight or talk her way out of it, she would much prefer that.

She learned much from the eight years of wandering. She greatly enjoys her freedom and takes pleasure in pleasing others with her talents. Honeymead received her name due to her sweet and warm disposition (regardless of her manipulative ways), combined with her ability to drink a man under the table. Honeymead also has a fondness for men and enjoys sexuality openly. Recently, she has found that she is bisexual with a strong preference for males. Her seduction lies not in coyness or overt sexuality, but in charming playfulness. While she enjoys her nights with men and women, Honeymead is never there in the morning. She loves jewels, but will only take something if it doesn't have anyone's name on it. Her habits involve chewing on sunflower seeds or pistachios and spitting them out. She loves children and dogs, but has an inherent distrust for parents and high-society elves.

In her travels, she seeks to learn, grow, and come across as much as she can. She enjoys stories, rumors, and history. Oftentimes, she finds herself using her abilities to enchant others with singing or ghost stories. Her hero is Thos "Sweets" Sweetglade (despite his elven family roots) and she uses him as her inspiration in life. She worships Corellon Larethian and Fharlanghn.

She searches for a pregnant woman and her husband: humans who have shown her warmth and compassion. Secretly, she wishes to see her father again, but will not admit to it (or perhaps she has yet to even realize this on her own).

Her true name is Cornelia Eleth.
