Nanashi before leaving Japan stops by a tree that him and his father would always take a break under after a long days work. He gently touches the tree with a melancholic smile and says "Im off..." As he begins to walk off he faintly hears "Take care..." but turns to see nothing. He smiles again and keeps walking, never looking back.
Nanashi's mother took the photo from the taxi cab, as he requested to stop here before heading off to the airport

This is a photo that someone took of Duckie the day she was stood up...
As she bustled about the university halls, fliers in hand and pins in a bag, trying to urge everyone passing by to save the whales with her, a handsome fellow struck up a conversation with her, complimenting her and showering her with more attention than she'd ever had. Then, he proceeded to ask her out.
Duckie waited for hours. He never showed up.
It was only until the next day when he and his friends posted this picture on the bulletin boards and pointed and laughed at her that she realized she'd been duped.

While waiting for someone from the college to show him around, Matthew proceeded to look around. He found a yellow bird atop a branch above the bench. He lifted his arm towards the bird and the bird lands on his finger. A freshman girl taking Photography saw Matthew playing with the bird and snaps a picture of him. She then introduced herself as his guide around the college as his face flushes red.

Matthew, during lunch, finally sums up the courage to ask Elyse on a date. After saying yes, Elyse thought it'd be funny to snap a picture of his reaction.

Aww, Lohengrin. I guess those finals and that last business thesis are kicking your ass, huh?
Between tutoring that silly redheaded freshman, applying for jobs, maintaining your management position at some lame retail store, trying to pay your way through life, and studies, you're just way too tired, and this bed of flowers is all too inviting.
... Looks like Duckie caught you and snapped a picture, though. Good luck with that.

Getting used to the area, Matthew finds a cake shop and gives it a try. Well, he's there at least once a week now!
Elyse took the photo after Matthew invited her to have cake with him.

Heaven snaps a picture of a punctual Nanashi with a fresh haircut. He doesn't notice until afterwards. Heaven apparently took up the hobby of fashion photography under Nanashi's nose and then later submitted the picture to a contest.

It was a hot day. Matthew usually wears a jacket but today he didn't. Elyse saw an opportunity for a picture, so she taps him on the shoulder while he walked towards the vending machine. He turned around and Elyse snaps the photo quick.

Matthew brings his own camera and takes a picture of Elyse. He figures it'd make them even for always taking pictures of him when he least expects it.

During a hangout, Elyse shows Matthew a new game. Matthew never thought Elyse played video games. Duckie saw an opportunity to snap a picture, because Duckie is Duckie.

Nanashi made it a point to say that she over-filtered herself on instagram. She proceeded to throw her shoe at him from across the room.

Professor Sweetglade (though he prefered that his students just called him Thos) snapped this picture of the hilarious look on his T.A.'s face. Lohengrin was in charge of tutoring one of his slowest (but most determined) Freshmen, Duckie.

Heaven thought that Nanashi looked "brutally hot" with glasses. Yeah, her own vision was blurry when she took this photo (since he playfully snagged her specs from her), but it was so worth it.

Matthew and Elyse often have Skype study sessions together. She looked particularly adorable today, so Matthew couldn't help but screencap it!

As Lohengrin explained a math problem, Duckie couldn't help but fall asleep. After noticing, Lohengrin took a picture of her with her own phone. She found it after and gave Lohengrin a lecture of her own. :I

Matthew went to visit Elyse in the computer lab. Matthew peered into the classroom, seeing Elyse looking weary as she finishes a project. Matthew took a photo of her, but felt like he should do something to cheer her up. So, he snuck into the classroom and whispered behind her ear, in which she slapped him for scaring her.
